I've Started Draft #2!

Hello, TBF readers!

I have a little update on how the first book of my trilogy has been coming along...

So...anyways, I've started writing the second draft of Trials by Fire Book 1!! I'm really excited to see where this project goes...it's the first full-length YA novel I've ever written, and although reading through it and writing down edits to make was somewhat difficult, I can't wait to work more on polishing this story up!

I hope I will be able to share some of this with you soon! But for now, I will share a tiny bit of this book. This line is from the very last chapter, and although I may edit it, here's what I have so far.

I held the blade high into the air. “Let the fire burn!”

Instantly, the dark, moonless night sky was illuminated with the powerful fire of the most bright weapon in all of the realms. I lifted the blade to my face so the heat warmed my cheeks.

I turned to Rhinon, and he gave me a slight nod. I smiled. “Let’s go slay some dragons.”

I absolutely loved writing that part! It kind of brought the story together in an epic, thrilling finale. Although it's been rough building character arcs, plotting action scenes, and trying not to smack my antagonists in the face, it will all be worth it.
